Roles & Responsibilities :
- Manage the delivery of either a larger Program or a portfolio of 4-5 projects worth about 30-80 people, through the complete lifecycle from vision through to Operations. This will include ensuring that the Program/projects are delivered on time, meet business & technical requirements and are within the agreed budget.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders ( Internal & external ) to understand the high-level technical architecture and be able to facilitate debate and drive decisions on appropriate solutions.
- Guide Project Leads in project management and client relationship. Handle and respond to any client escalations.
- Anticipate, manage and resolve issues and act as the point of contact for the Program/Project Portfolio.
- Use best practice risk management, assessing risks in an informed and considered manner and to plan for the mitigation of these risks.
- Provide support and assistance in the promotion and adoption of Program & Project Management best practices.
- Manage people’s motivations, Aspirations and performance.
- Manage project contracts and financials (billing, tracking, etc) to ensure profitable performance of the projects.
- Be operationally prudent to ensure adequate people utilization, active engagement of bench, role ratio management.
EXPERTISE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience range : 14 - 18 years
Education : Engineering degree
Skills and Experience :
- 14+ years of overall experience in IT services/Product development of which last 5 years have to be in Program/Delivery Management
- Track record of delivering large and complex Programs within timelines and with high quality
- Experience of successfully engaging senior management and groups of stakeholders.
- Experience in Product/Platform/Application Development Lifecycle, technical and release management practices
- 5+ years of applying Agile development practices
- Excellent communication, inter-personal relationship management and problem solving skills
- A self-starter with a Growth mindset to grow People, Accounts and the Revenues of the portfolio/unit. Be ambitious for self and the unit.
- Bring in Capability enhancement (people wise, training wise, process wise, etc) in the portfolio/unit
- Be a Role Model with right moral values and attitudes.
